Be The Solution
Your goal is to define your customers’ issues and be the solution. When you demonstrate you understand your customer’s pain points, their challenges, and their pitfalls, you become more credible. When you generate unique and creative content that helps them to solve these problems, your content will perform well, increase your optimization and associated search rankings, and engage your target customers. Whether your target demographic are businesses or consumers, providing insights into how you can solve problems helps you to be perceived as an expert. Adopt New Platforms
New social media and content aggregator platforms continue to be developed and launched. When clients come us for business to business sales, we start with LinkedIn. For business to consumer activities Facebook and Instagram are key. But csutomers are curious about emerging platforms like TikTok, Pinterest or Nextdoor.. Platforms with newer budget-based marketing services tend to be less saturated and cost less, but often also tend to yield less and are more challenging to adopt. Early adoption, however, gives your brand a chance to “be there first” and solidify your placement before ads take over.

This year we are likely to see a pull back in ad spend, as inflation continues to be a consideration and forecasts predict slower growth and thinner margins. We always recommend a small audience of less than 100 companies for our business to business clients and less than 10,000 for our business to consumer clients. Develop your content, graphics, and marketing efforts to appeal to this targeted group and establish a sales funnel that drives and increases sales over an appropriate period of time. Finally, make sure that your sales team has the tools and resources to not only back up the offers, but to move prospective customers along the path of contact, order, and up sell.
Create Touchpoints Without Overselling
Existing customers don’t appreciate being bombarded with sales messages, but they love being appreciated and serviced. Some creative ways you can talk to your customer base is with “thank yous”, offering training on how to use tools, and even providing discount incentives for subscription based services in exchange for referrals. The best marketing is a happy customer who recommends your services to colleagues and friends.
