Facebook engagement seems to be a hit or miss for many business owners that dabble in taking on their own social media campaigns. Knowing when and what types of posts will get them the most engagement can boost your post naturally with your followers and help your content go viral. So just how do you accomplish this on your own?
Post on Fridays
On Facebook you want your followers to comment, like, or even share your posts, and the day they are most likely to complete these action is on a Friday. Perhaps this is due to it being the end of the week and people are winding down by flooding the social media beast. If you want Facebook posts to really get noticed, posting on Fridays is your best bet.
Use a Photo
As of March 2014 nearly three quarters of all page updates are photos and over 85% of shares Facebook posts are of a photo. Pure and simple, if you want to get noticed add a visual element. Adding a photo doesn’t guarantee that you will get noticed and shared, but it certainly increases your chances.
Original Written Content is Still King
Above everything else make sure your content is original and written. Make sure that what you are saying has a clear message, and using an image to relay the message, then posting on a Friday will be your best bet to gain engagement.
